For all couple families, all lone-parent families, all persons not in census families and a total of these three groups, the table contains the following information:
- Count of census families or persons not in census families by number of children and total
- Median after-tax family income by number of children and a total
- Number of persons within a census family by number of children and a total
- Number of children 0 to 17 years of age by number of children within a census family and total
- Number of persons 65 years of age and over by number of children within a census family and total
For low-income couple families, low-income lone-parent families, low-income persons not in 16 census families and a total of these three groups, the same information as outlined above is available:
- Count of census families or persons not in census families by number of children and total
- Median after-tax family income by number of children and a total
- Number of persons within a census family by number of children and a total
- Number of children 0 to 17 years of age by number of children within a census family and total
- Number of persons 65 years of age and over by number of children within a census family and total
This table is available in postal and census subdivision geographies.
In 2018, Statistics Canada updated the Census Family Low Income Measure methodology. The following tables provide data using the updated methodology. Due to the relatively poor quality of the coverage for some CSDs (mostly in rural areas and low population areas), T1FF data at the CSD level should be used with caution. Statistics Canada does not accept responsibility for any direct or indirect consequences associated with under coverage or over coverage in T1FF data at the CSD level.
