Description

The Open Database of Infrastructure (ODI) is an open data collection containing information on various infrastructure types across Canada, including bridges, tunnels, solid waste facilities, pedestrian and cycling paths, public transit stops, and potable water, stormwater, and wastewater infrastructure. It includes locations, facility names, addresses, and other characteristics when available. Compiled primarily from municipal, provincial, and federal open data portals, the ODI aims to enhance access to a harmonized collection of infrastructure data. Released under the Open Government Licence - Canada, it is part of the Linkable Open Data Environment (LODE).

Notes

The inputs for the ODI are primarily datasets provided by municipal, regional, or provincial sources available to the public under an open data licence.

Datasets were collected between November 2022 and March 2023 from their respective sources and processed and harmonized into the ODI. Within the original datasets, each data provider attached a different set of variables.
