Community Development Halton published their 93rd issue of the Community Lens. This issue focuses on seniors in special care facilities within Halton Region.

"The data came from the 2011 Census population in collective dwellings. StatCan publishes the data at the national and provincial level," explains CD Halton Research Associated Richard Lau. "Through the Community Data Program, we were able to 'drill down' to the CT level and gain a better understanding of the seniors living in those special care facilities in Halton Region."

Lau used topic-based tabulations from the 2011 Census that we acquired at smaller geographies than those available on Statistics Canada's website.
