This variable refers to whether or not persons have completed a secondary school or high school diploma, graduation certificate, or its equivalent. This variable also indicates whether other educational qualifications are held or not.~Examples of high school equivalency certificates are General Educational Development (GED) and Adult Basic Education (ABE).
