Today Statistics Canada released its Housing and Income data from the 2011 National Household Survey. Here's a summary of the resources they've made available.
1. Two written summaries in The Daily
Homeownership and shelter costs in Canada
2. A video summary of each topic
Homeownership and shelter costs in Canada
3. An invitation to a chat session on Friday, September 13, 2013, at 12:30 p.m.
4. Nineteen (19) topic-based tabulations at the Provincial/Territory scale, with several going down to the Census Metropolitan Area, and Census Agglomeration scales.
5. And of course, profile tables down to the Census Subdivision scale. Correction: Profiles are available down to the Census Tract scale.
Next steps for the Community Data Program will be to order the standard tables listed above at the smallest feasible geography. We will then proceed with more complex orders, including target group profiles, the former Urban Poverty Project crosstabulations, and data at custom geographies.
Hope this helps understand what's available, and what's to come. As always, if you have questions, feel free to drop us a line. Happy data!
