Sharing Data Better: The Rise of Data Institutions
Data institutions are organisations that steward data on behalf of others towards public, educational and charitable aims.
In this free interactive online event, we reveal the role that data institutions can play in driving us towards a future where data is used positively to improve our lives.
We’ll also explore where we need more data institutions and how a new generation of them is emerging with the aim of giving people the power to control how data about them is used.
Sir Nigel Shadbolt, Co-Founder of the Open Data Institute, will give the opening keynote speech where he will set out his vision for data institutions in 2022.
The event will be hosted by Jack Hardinges, the ODI's programme lead for data institutions.
