Statistics Canada have sent out a newsletter on their new Canadian Centre for Energy Information. Read the contents below:
In response to growing stakeholder demand for better access to energy information, Statistics Canada and Natural Resources Canada, in collaboration with Environment and Climate Change Canada and the Canada Energy Regulator, are pleased to announce the initial launch of the Canadian Centre for Energy Information.
We are working towards creating a single website that will in the fullness of time provide a convenient single-window access to comprehensive information, data and analysis on Canada’s energy future. The Canadian Centre for Energy Information will be a pan-Canadian information hub, integrating data from federal, provincial, territorial and other sources. It will house resources on all things energy-related, including production, consumption, international trade and much more.
In the meantime, this early site will keep Canadians informed of new energy data products and opportunities to participate in the creation of this virtual data centre.
