Title: Statistics Canada Taxfiler (T1FF) Data Webinar

Date: May 8, 2018, 1:30 to 3:00 pm ET

Location: Adobe Connect (a link will be emailed to you two days before the webinar)

Description:  Taxfiler data, or T1-derived datasets, are generated from individual tax files from the Canada Revenue Agency from the Income Statistics Division of Statistics Canada. These datasets are published on a yearly basis and are an increasingly important source of Canada-wide income data.

François Pagé, Section Chief of the Income Statistics Division, will cover the basics of taxfiler tables and how to better use them, including definitions on universes (what they include), how taxfiler geography differs from standard census geography, information on new LIM methodology used in tables from the T1FF and how the LIM calculated using T1FF data differs from that calculated using Census data.

Speaker: François Pagé, Section Chief of the Income Statistics Division

The webinar will last approximately 1 hour, with a 20-minute presentation and live Question and Answer session.  It will be held in English, but participants can ask questions in English or French. Participation in the webinar is limited to 100 logins. The event will be open to all CDP members.
