Taxfiler data, or T1-derived datasets, are generated from individal tax files from the Canada Revenue Agency from the Income Statistics Division of Statistics Canada. These datasets are published on a yearly basis and are an increasingly important source of Canada-wide income data. What's included and how can we use taxfiler data? A representative from Statistics Canada Income Division will be presenting a webinar on Taxfiler data as part of the CDP Product Profile Webinar Series. The presentation will cover:

  • What is taxfiler data?
  • Typical uses for taxfiler data
  • Methodological information on the T1FF population and geographies 
  • T1FF strengths and weaknesses
  • Income inequality and working poor tables

Dates:

  • Wednesday, January 18th at 1:30 pm EST
  • Wednesday, February 1st at 1:30 pm EST 

The webinar will last between 60-90 minutes and will be held in English, but participants can ask questions in English or French.

The webinar is open to all CDP members and limited to 100 participants on a first-come, first-serve basis.
